| Reflections Watertown, CT The site for this 40 unit, age-restricted condominium community was very unique, both because of its topographical constraints as well as its proximity to an aquatic recreational area, Echo Lake. CIVIL 1 used innovative site design techniques to provide a superior neighborhood design while putting a specific emphasis on maintaining water quality. A network of walkways was created to ensure safe and usable pedestrian access throughout the development as well as to a nearby recreational area. For this project, CIVIL 1 prepared all plans and engineering reports for submission to regulatory agencies, and successfully represented the client before Wetlands, Planning and Zoning, Department of Transportation, and the Department of Environmental Protection. While meeting or exceeding all Town requirements, the solution appears likely to provide a design the Town can use as a standard for future projects. |
