Bayberry Farms

Topography was the major challenge on this 52 acre, 15 lot subdivision. It made building a road to town standards nearly impossible. A creative site access solution was developed for two common driveways that would each end at a cul-de-sac and serve multiple lots. The arrangement has a unique neighborhood feel. Eliminating the road also reduced the amount of pavement, retaining more of the rural atmosphere.
Since there was no need to design the extensive grading and clearing associated with a roadway, the owner also benefited from being able to utilize a larger portion of the property and to offer more spacious and protected lots. CIVIL 1's services included site civil services including the driveway designs, two stormwater treatment facilities, and a water service supply design. |
